IT Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for managing and supporting the complete IT infrastructure of the
manufacturing plant, ensuring high availability of production and business-critical
systems. Acts as the primary IT support resource for plant operations, covering
networks, servers, cybersecurity, backups, end-user support, and manufacturing
systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Support ERP, MES, SCADA/HMI, barcode printers, and shop-floor IT systems.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, security, and system availability.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Provide end-user support for hardware, software, email, and printers.
• Coordinate with IT vendors, ISPs, and application support teams.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, licenses, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and company IT policies.
• Support 24×7 manufacturing operations and handle critical plant incidents.
Required Skills
• Network Administration (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, Switching, Routing)
• Windows Server & Active Directory Administration
• VMware/Hyper-V Management
• Firewall & Endpoint Security Management
• Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions
• Microsoft 365 & Cloud Technologies (Preferred)
• Manufacturing Systems Support (ERP, MES, SCADA)
Experience & Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3-5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Ability to independently manage plant IT infrastructure.
